These are basically flat sponges. They are thicker than the Swedish dishcloths, do not bend and flex to get into corners and do not dry quickly. That said, they were significantly cheaper. I wound up cutting one in half to use for dishes, as a full one was too bulky, but even then it did a poor job.However, if you are looking for something to use to replace paper towels that you can wash and reuse, there are probably good.

I BECAME FAMILIAR WITH THESE WHEN I LIVED IN EUROPE. IF YOU WANT TO SAVE THE ECOLOGY AROUND YOU, THIS IS THE PRODUCT! ONCE YOU CLEAN DISHES WITH IT OR COUNTERS YOU CAN WASH IT & REUSE IT IN THE DISHWASHER OR WASHING MACHINE! IT WOULD PUT CLOROX WIPES AND PAPER TOWELS OUT OF BUSINESS & LANDFILLS!

Update: so I’ve been using first sponge for about 3 weeks and it’s totally falling apart. So I’m not sure why packaging says that it can be machine washed 200. I washed it twice and it literally thorn in pieces. And I don’t heavy use it. I use it to abrord water around sink and wipe table and kitchen area.I just received the package and will definitely update the rating when I will start using . I defenetily was looking for something compostable so will see how it is will work

I tried several other Swedish cloths and found they quickly got stained. I've been using these for a month and they still look clean. I find them easier to use if I cut them in half so the fit my hand when washing dishes. Best part - they are reasonably priced for something we use everyday.

Soak up every drop and then dry quickly to avoid odors. They do tear up eventually but they come in multi-packs.
